Staff Report: PNN
According to party decisions, BNP has withdrawn the expulsion orders of 20 leaders from various districts, including Khulna’s Koyra and Paikgachha. The announcement was made on Sunday night via a notice signed by Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
Among those reinstated are Nurul Amin Babul, former Member Secretary of Koyra Upazila BNP, and S. M. Enamul, former General Secretary of Paikgachha Upazila BNP. Babul was expelled last year on September 19 for indiscipline, violence, and anti-party activities. Enamul was temporarily expelled on August 10 for acting outside party decisions.
Supporters of both leaders had held human chains and protests demanding revocation of the expulsion.
The notice also mentioned the revocation of expulsion orders for 18 other leaders from Brahmanbaria, Cox’s Bazar, Pabna, Faridpur, Tangail, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Panchagarh, Comilla, and Chapainawabganj, including student wing and former local leaders. In Panchagarh, the voluntary resignation of Teetulia Upazila BNP leader Khandakar Abu Saleh Ibrahim from March 22 last year was also annulled.
