Tanzia Zaman Mithila, crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh 2025, arrived in Thailand on November 2 to compete internationally. She is participating in the 74th edition of Miss Universe alongside contestants from 121 countries.

Events are held across Thailand, starting from Bangkok, with special activities organized for all participants in Phuket.

Mithila revealed that as of last Tuesday night, she was ranked third in voting. She said, “I couldn’t believe it at first. My whole body was trembling; I was completely speechless. I cried. But the support from my countrymen and colleagues has been overwhelming and inspiring.”

The final result will be determined 50% by votes and 50% by judges. Mithila believes that with the support of the people of Bangladesh, she can represent the country successfully.

Several Bangladeshi celebrities, including Jaya Ahsan, Toma Mirza, Bidya Sinha Mim, Runa Khan, Shabnam Bubli, Mumtahina Toya, Konal, Salman Muktadir, Jannatul Aishi, Hridi Sheikh, Samira Khan Mahi, Shabnam Faria, Sheikh Sadi, Barisha Haque, and Priyota Iftekhar, are campaigning for her votes.

Mithila, crowned in September 2025, is known not only as a model and actress but also for advocating against child marriage and supporting underprivileged children. She had previously won the national title in 2020 but could not participate internationally due to COVID-19 restrictions.
